I’ll get to the clearing and cleaning later. These are far too cute not to share.

Gammie surprised Garner with an American Girl Bitty Twin doll that looks a lot like Garner. When we told Garner she’d need to name her doll, she quickly said, “Hmmm…her name is Bella.” Bella. Where in the world did she get Bella. No, not from Twilight.

Time with Gammie is special. She plays with me and lets me sew EVERY time!

The are sewing a coat for Garner that I thought I’d make last year. One of those projects I’ve yet to get to. Mom took the blue tiny corduroy and cut the pattern. THANK YOU!

Pappa (Poppie) loved Bella too!

Poppie is spoiled.

New paint color! Decluttered work space! High gloss desk! Thank you thank you thank you mom!

JD hung the picture wire we got at IKEA last year for Garner’s revolving art show.

I hung some of the leftover Martha paper flower from Garner’s first birthday above her play area.

And we finally finished putting the shingles on the house that was delivered to us the day before Garner was born. Dad built that. I’d say it was a weekend of finishing projects that had begun long ago!

Still, there are a lot of things I want to do in that room.
1. buy a new cute chair that looks better than that big black thing
2. paint the roof of the house, the table and chairs and easel Bay Leaf green.
3. make a floor cloth that is inspired by Nicole’s front porch over at Making it Lovely
4. get a cute ceiling fan because the insulation isn’t great in that room
5. determine how I’m going to make my huge Epson printer look good in that room
6. create spaces for my different craft discipines – digital, fabric, paper
7. build a large bulletin/inspiration board to go over one of the desks
8. sew some large floor pillows for Garner’s play area
9. have my photographer husband take some good photos of the room

And the list could go on and on couldn’t it?
Hopefully the new beautiful blue will inspire me to work on that room. Too little time. Too little cash. 🙂

Hallelulah is Garner’s version of Hallelujah.

Oldmilk is her version of Oatmeal.

Yous is her version of Your.

We’ve had Gammie nad Pappa here this weekend and have enjoyed their company. Mom and I got a wild hair and finally painted the office/playroom! WOO HOO! It’s my favorite color. Martha moved to Home Depot and renamed all her colors. The Lowe’s version was Vintage Map and I used it on Garner’s room both in Atoka and our current house. The Home Depot version is called Enamelware and just as beautiful.

I love the display at Home Depot and the paint swatch book. There are 2 other colors I’d love to use the room as accent colors – Bay Leaf and Ladybug.

I have a plan to paint Garner’s IKEA easel and table/chair set with the Bay Leaf.

And after 2 years…my office is my favorite color! I’m so thankful for my Mom and her hard work with me this weekend. The walls are now a cool Enamelware blue that is so peaceful and bright. I know it will be a perfect place for my crafting, sewing and other creative endeavors. And Garner just loves it.

We simplified and cleaned out the stuff that was weighing us down. I still have a lot of donating, trashing and storing to do. I’ll pack up all the toys that Garner has outgrown. I have a lot of craft supplies that will be donated or trashed. Next post – my process for clearing and cleaning out.
