Aside from 6 months flying by and me having no clue where it went…oh wait…I have an 8 month old baby, a 4 year old little girl who never stops, a full time job, and my second job (keeping my home.)

I wanted to share the most recent event. Please pardon my non-straightened photos and lack of children. The party photos are on the other camera.

Theme: Princess Dress Up Party
Invitation: Gowns & Crowns, Sweet treats too, to a Royal Birthday Celebration, we invite you!

Everything was pink, white and silver. I designed all the paper pieces including invitation, banner, cupcake toppers, cotton candy cones, candy bar covers, enclosures.
I purchased the paper straws and pink polka dot paper favor holders from Cakes & Kids. The scepters came from Continental Awards & Trophies, ribbon and tulle from Hobby Lobby, paper goods from Target, Princess ribbon and white ribbon from Costco, Pom Pom flowers from Michaels.

The real crowns were borrowed from my friend Patty who’s daughter was Miss Teen Tennessee, Madeline Littrell. And the serving pieces and vases were borrowed from various friends/places.

Menu: Cotton Candy, Cupcakes, Nerds, Smarties, Sugared Marshmallows, Caramel Kisses (in addition to tea sandwiches, fruit kabobs, and pretzels.)

Favors and Goodies – Candy Bars, Star Scepters personalized, Enclosure Cards.

Decorations: crepe paper, Martha Stewart pom pom flowers, Princess ribbon, tulle.

All in all it was a perfect day. We had 12 perfect Princesses. I wish we could have invited more…but 12 was more than enough. I’ll post more photos from home with the surprise guests and the birthday girl. Wonderful memories for my sweet Garner.

Most of you know how much I love fonts…and graphic design…and fun. With a little help from some friends I’ve combined them into fun prints for your office, home or gifts. Some items are also available for sale in Memphis at Toad Hall Antiques in Midtown. They are all available in 5 x 7 (print or laminated with magnet), 6 x 8 (print or laminated with magnet), or 8 x 10 (print only).

This weekend was great! I hosted a Valentine’s craft party Saturday morning that I failed to get photos of, but it was great. Eight friends came over to craft for their loved ones. I provided some samples and kits with most of the pieces for the samples. I also provided a range of embellishments that both excited and overwhelmed. I was thankful to see the creativity in the room. I needed a bit of inspiration and those girls came through!

This is a photo of Anne’s cards – lifted from her blog.

Very nice job, Anne!

Don’t you just love good mail? An unexpected note, check or even gift? Friday we received the cutest Bunny Hat handknit by April. Here it is lifted from her Flickr unfinished.
Expect a photo of G modeling soon. It was just too warm to make her wear it this weekend. Although she did enjoy it Friday afternoon while we were waiting for JD to get home.

After our fun craft time we had lunch at Blue Coast with our new friends  Mollie and Jack. They are expecting their first baby soon and are transplants from Cali. I met her at BSF. I can’t imagine being a transplant anywhere right now. It makes me look at Memphis and see what I’m thankful for…

And today I’m thankful for 70 degree February weather…ahhhh…makes me almost feel like I’m on a vacation!

On the planning front: Garner’s b’day is right around the corner! I have no idea what we’re going to yet. I better get busy!
